The Breeders' Cup World Championships

Nov 2nd - Nov 3rd 2012

This annual fixture is increasingly regarded as the world championship for International flat racing, coming as it does at the end of the European season and the culmination of the American campaign. In 2008, a record number of International entries raced for a record $20 million dollars in prize money. European raiders enjoyed considerable success crowned by Raven's Pass winning the Breeders' Cup Classic for owner H.R.H. Princess Haya of Jordan and success for British trainer John Gosden.

Undoubtedly two days of the best racing not to be missed, the 2010 Championship returns to the famous Churchill Downs racetrack, home to the Kentucky Derby. Make sure you allow some extra time to view some of Kentucky's most beautiful and spectacular stud farms. Enjoy sampling the world's best bourbon at a local distillery and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the Kentucky hills in their Autumn colours. Stay a little longer and we would thoroughly recommend you see Championship Rodeo at the North American International Livestock Exposition held in Louisville, Kentucky on November 11th - 13th. Here you will witness some amazing horsemanship. As well as bronco riding you'll see other western competition including calf roping and barrel racing - this is America's western culture with all the razzmatazz and has to be experienced!
